Pinecrest Academy has partnered with Ascension Music Academy, LLC to provide music instruction to students. This program is offered on campus after school and on Saturdays. This partnership enhances the Music Education program at Pinecrest, provides students with a competitive edge when auditioning for colleges and music scholarships, and gives all band students the opportunity to learn piano as a secondary instrument (highly recommended).

AMA Classes
Music Theory - age 14 and up
Beginning Piano - age 5 and up
Piano lessons - age 5 and up
Private lessons for all other instruments - age 8 and up
Piano, Flute, Trumpet, Violin, Guitar, Oboe, French Horn, Viola, Drums, Clarinet, Trombone, Cello, Bass, Bassoon, Baritone, Bass, Viola, Voice, Saxophone, Tuba, Percussion, Composition/Arranging

Community Ensembles
Ascension Music Academy students will have the opportunity to audition for and/or participate in the following ensembles at night.
• Symphonic Band - anyone with experience playing an instrument
• Jazz Band - by audition
• Orchestra
• Family Band - this group gives an opportunity for beginning students and parents that wish to learn an instrument to play in a band together (child-care provided).
