Southern Foodservice Management provides lunch service for both the Lower School and Upper School Dining Halls. The lunch program is not mandatory. Students have the choice to buy lunch or bring lunch. Students who bring their lunch may also select additional items from the a la carte menu. Pre-payment incentives are available.

Who can participate: Everyone is welcome - students, parents, faculty, staff and guests.
Location: Lunch is served in the Lower School Dining Hall (Building F) and the Upper School Dining Hall (Gym).
Food Selection: Each month we will receive a menu listing the entrees for each day of the month. The choices are not all inclusive and can sometimes vary based on availability. There are always salads and other items available each day. The August menu for each Dining Hall is attached and will be posted on the website under the Campus Life tab.
Pricing: Prices vary in each of these locations due to portions and variety. There is no set fee for lunch since students have the option to purchase what they want each day. Students can choose a meal deal or choose items from the a la carte menu.
Payment: Students can pay by the day (with cash) or purchase food credit by submitting cash or a check made payable to Southern Foods to the front desk (attention Southern Foods). Students will receive their account number and give it to the cash register attendant during check out.
Balances: Students can request a receipt at any time that will show the account balance. As the balance diminishes, parents can submit additional funds into the account at any time per above instructions. No detailed reporting is available.
Catering: Catering services are available for after school events (such as the Fish Fry or a meeting) and celebrations during lunch (like birthdays). Please give as much notice as possible to Karl so Southern Foods can accommodate your request. The more you can support Southern Foods, the more it benefits the school.
Faculty and Staff: Pinecrest employees are offered a 10% discount.
Balances from Previous School Year: Balances from last year have been carried over to this year. This balance should be reflected on your receipt as soon as all account information is updated. If parents have concerns that their child is using their food credit to buy food for friends, perhaps put the child on a monthly budget or request a receipt on a regular basis to monitor usage of the food credit.
